icy-weather-vaneTBS Nation,

Currently -7 degrees out and the school is cool this morning.  Dress warm for the next week as we will be in the Spring Polar Vortex!  Because of the windchill we will be having most of our recess time inside as well.  It seems like the kids are just busting at the seams to get out however the cold temperatures are forcing us to do this.  It is Hot Lunch & Chapel day TBS.  This is always a good combination!

Have a great Wednesday:

6:30am – Before School Care (Jeremy Shaeffer)
8:15am – Normal School Day
9:05am – Elementary Chapel (Dan Leeds)
9:05am – Jr./Sr. High Chapel (Jeremy Shaeffer)
Hot Lunch – Chicken Pot Pie
3:15pm – After School Care (Sarah Leeds)
6:30pm – Awana Clubs @ TBC Ministries

TBS Is Praying For the Campbellsport Community

csprt

Let’s remember to pray for the community of Campbellsport this day as they mourn the loss of three high school girls who were killed in a tragic accident last weekend.  Their funeral is today and TBS should lift them up as they struggle to cope with this in their lives.  Trinity has been spared from this kind of situation and it is only by God’s grace that we stay protected.

TBS Athletics:  Trinity Baptist Boys Upset Star Academy in a hard fought contest.  It was senior night and all 4 starting seniors came with their game faces on ready to meet the challenge presented by the Star Academy founded and promoted by Bart Starr of the Green Bay Packers.   Last year the patriots traveled to New London and played the Academy and lost by a 25 point margin but last night the seniors decided to change that outcome.  The patriots played a great game and kept the lead for the entire game.  The seniors were able to pull together and outscore the Academy by almost a 20 point margin.  Coach Shaeffer was able to honor the seniors and their families after the game and made a few comments about each player and their families.  TBS is honored to have these young men representing the team and they will be greatly missed.

3:00 – 5:00pm  Boys BB Practice

TBS After School Care: 3:00 – 6:00pm (Available)

Is winter on its way?  I hear from the weather man that we could be experiencing the first real snow of the season beginning this evening.  Please forgive Justin Eckberg and the Denks for their prayer request of snow.  They are selfish and uncaring of the rest of us non-snowmobile-owning people.  Perhaps they should think about locating near our satellite school in Alaska so they can commute with their snowmobiles.  For the rest of you please use extreme caution as you navigate the WI roads.  Use common sense and make decisions about traveling to school based on your particular route.  For those that live in FDL note that when the school doors are open you are asked to attend as normal.  For those living outside the FDL are and do not come in to school due to bad roads or bad weather please have your students bring books home as we will email assignments in order to keep students up to speed with the class.
Congratulations to the Lady Patriot B Team as they beat their St. Paul Lutheran opponents.  The Lady Patriots play again on February 13th Vs. Reedsburg at 5:00pm.  Everybody is encouraged to wear blue and white to support the girls as they try to upset the Reedsburg Lady Warriors.  Coach Renee Eckberg and Kim Struska watched a close game slip from their A Team girls last night as well.  The girls lost by just one point (17 – 16) in the last 40 seconds of the game.  Savanna Westra and Jessi Eckberg led all scorers to bring the lady patriots close in the 4th quarter.  Their hustle and aggressive play was fun to watch but they just fell two points short.

Thank you for praying for Emma Holland over the past few days.  She is missed by her teachers and friends and we hope to see her next week.  Jason Shaeffer’s daughter has also experienced some remarkable growth over the past three days and the doctors have granted them the green light to take her home as of this afternoon.  Thank you for your prayers and encouraging words as it has been a long journey for them.  Jason will be leaving to travel to India in the next week for a job assignment so this homecoming came at a very good time.  Continue to pray for the Shaeffers as they recover form such a long hospital adventure.

TBS Nation,

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

Good Afternoon TBS Nation – Another week is almost done and this first quarter is flying by.  I want to know how to be more of an encouragement to all of you.  I seem to get trapped doing all the necessary evils of the ministry and forget sometimes to pick up my head and look around to see you!  What are your needs?  How can I help?  I appreciate your prayers for the staff and school. Those are felt each day and we covet those prayers!  TBS is praying for you as well.  We continue to serve Him because he is faithful to us!  May you feel the Lord’s presence today as you go about your busy schedules.  Don’t leave him out of the equation!
