This is our last day before Easter Break and I am thankful for the real reason we celebrate. I purposely choose to refer to this break as “Easter” and not “Spring” because of the celebration we see in the Resurrection. Perhaps we should call it the “Resurrection Break” or “God is Alive – Hallelujah Break”. The noted places of notorious Spring Break destinations demonstrate the carnality of man especially highlighted by the youth of this nation. Why is this? What is so appealing? I believe the answer is found in the desire of the flesh. Satan uses this powerful curse to distract us from the All Mighty, the King, the One who will never be taken off His throne. Let’s fix our eyes on the cross not our flesh, let’s move toward holiness not selfishness, let’s meditate on His Word not our wants — may we see Jesus these next few days and find joy in our salvation!
I trust that you all will have a wonderful few days spend with your family and church family. I trust as you think about the meaning of this season that you will find humility and thankfulness in your hearts.
