Today is an important day for many reasons. I know all of you realize the voting issues and the political strife that continues to nag this country. I woke up with the thought of thankfulness to our God for giving wisdom to men to establish this great constitution and country. I wonder if they were in our shoes, watching the political adds, how outraged they would be. I wonder how disgusted they would be as they would witness hardly a reference to the original reasons this country was started. I wonder who would elect them now?
We have given up so much in this country mostly for the sake of self. I pray that we would see our roots today and remember that God was the highest priority of establishing a free nation with the chief right being the worship of the true God of Heaven. I want to worship Him today and let the rest of today’s decisions rest in His hands. I have not voted but I will and I will enjoy the right as an American as long as I can. I do know that God is in control and for that I am ever grateful.
