TBS Nation,

Two days left in August…Can you believe it?  It hardly seems like we should be ready for fall, however it is the time of year this happens.  I have commented to several that it is now dark when I get up but the good news is that it is still light when school starts. This makes me happy.

It is Tuesday and we have a normal schedule today.  As we approach the third week parents need to be reminded that student eligibility will kick in to full gear.  Players on any sporting team will be subject to these standards.  Students must carry at the minimum a 74 C- average in every class in order to play fall sports.  This eligibility rule is and has been a standard that TBS has had for years.  It is our goal that students playing sports earn the privilege of doing so by making effort in the classroom not just the soccer pitch or volleyball court.
Progress reports will begin to be emailed to families regardless of student athlete status.

Today TBS will conduct its first FIRE DRILL of the school year.  Students will be guided to safety during the drill.  Today’s fire drill is an announced drill and will be conducted at the end of 5th Hour.  Parents can help reinforce safety to students at home by asking what happens during such a drill.

Hope you have a great day…even if it is supper muggy!  #coolfalldaysneeded
