TBS Nation,

It is a bit different this year as I woke up the day after TBS Awards to realize that we do have several more days of school remaining.  It was a good night and many were given awards for student achievements.  I will post the corrected A/B Honor roll later today for the students as promised because of my mistake last night. Again I apologize for the error.
For those who did not come I wanted again to highlight Mrs. Kimberly Krause today for her 10 years of service.  The following was the Tribute given:
Kimberly Krause came to me 11 years ago and asked what she could do to help in Trinity Baptist School.  It was obvious from the start that she had a desire to be involved and had a heart for church and christian education.  My advice to her at that time was to go and get an early childhood degree so that she could be used in the school with our elementary.  Her efforts in that area gained her an associates degree in the field and we brought her on staff as a elementary teacher. Prior to this Kimberly spent some time as our Fundraising Coordinator helping with student fundraisers and TBS Auction development. Her pay at first was simply monies that were donated to our school and there was no formal contract.  Kimberly plugged in many different areas and was willing to help as she had time and energy.   She continued teaching and helping and was given a position in our elementary as a full time teacher a year or so later.
She has taught many and some have already graduated (this is in no way intended to give away her age).  She has had an impact on many and continues to meet with former students to this day to challenge them in their spiritual lives.  Relationships have been important to Kimberly and she takes aim at the heart of matters in a soft spoken way.  She has a heart for this as experience and ministry have taught her.  I also believe that the Holy Spirit has given her the ability to work with people in this way and she desires to continue this for years to come.
After a few years of teaching in our elementary full time, she had another baby on the way so we shifted her roll to that of our lower elementary, specifically the Pre-K department. This is where she has spent the last few years preparing little ones for the all important year of Kindergarten and beyond.  Her classroom is often filled with happy sounds minus the occasional cries for help from the echoing bathrooms, and she is a popular stopping point for many parents as they pick up their students from the end of the hall or from after school care.
Recently, Kimberly has completed a Elementary Teaching Degree from Liberty University on-line.  She has found time and energy to navigate some difficult waters and managed to graduate this past December so to continue on the journey she began many years ago. Christian Education is important to Kimberly and for this I am grateful.  I trust the there will be many more years of service in the lives and hearts of children because of the passion in her heart.
Kimberly has had an impact on many youth and this has been seen throughout her years of teaching at TBS.  Parents, staff and family will miss having her around next year as she has accepted a full time teaching position at Fox Valley Christian School in Oshkosh for the upcoming year.
Thank you Kimberly for the 10 years of service at TBS and the impact you have had on our school and these students both past and present.  We wish you well and trust that God will use Mightily.
