TBS Nation,

Coming to school this morning was not a 10 on my scale simply because it is cold.  The cars groan when you start them, for goodness sakes!  Hope your morning is full of warm cider and hot chocolate or a coffee or five!

Tonight is the TBS Christmas Program.  The program will begin at 6:30pm and the church will be warm. I trust that you will be encouraged and blessed as these young people provide us with the Christmas Story and entertainment.  Remember that the students are to be in Concert Dress as outlined in the patriot post.

There are several situations on my mind….more than usual I guess but at the top we should all remember a few of these:

Lydia Spoor / Spoor Family – Lydia will be going in for surgery soon to put in a feeding tube.  Dr’s are hopeful that this will help with her overall health.  Pray for Eric and Tiffany and the girls as they endure another major medical hurdle with her.

Struska Ladies (Kim and Susan) – Both have brain tumors and both are in need of cures.  Struska families will be traveling to FL for a wedding and we should pray that they have a safe trip but also for the health of Kim and Susan.

Micah Thorpe – Praise that they Micah has been given the opportunity to wean off his meds for seizures.  Ryan and Jodi met with the neurologist and had encouraging but normal results.  Praise the Lord for a good report

My hear is heavy for many people and families.  I told Amber that our chief job is to raise our kids (not perfect by far), and as we do this in a God honoring and fearing way we/you become an example.  I feel and I know that Satan is tugging on many right now to give up, quit, stop the race, throw in the towel, and reject Him.  I stand today to say that we all should gain the perspective of the big picture this morning.  I am insignificant but because of Christ in me I am his servant as Paul says in his letters.  I am a tool for Christ and it is not for me to decide how good my life goes or how bad, but rather am I a vessel that can/will be used for his Glory.

TBS – Don’t loose perspective.  We have a job to encourage each other and a responsibility to love each other even when it hurts and is not convenient.  Schedules are tight, holidays are sometimes hard, and finances simply are not there – through all of these things God remains on the throne and He is our Joy.

My goal is to be a vessel for Him today!
Merry Christmas…His Glory, Our Joy
