Monday, September 8th, 2014 / “Big Week”

TBS Nation,

Hope you all had a great weekend full of rest and relaxation.  It was beautiful out and I trust you were able to take full advantage of it.  This week marks the beginning of the third week of nine in our 1st Quarter.  Eligibility will be taken into consideration for the students that are playing athletics.  Our policy is that TBS students must carry a 74% or higher in order to be eligible for athletics.  This would include the ability to play in games or attend practice.  It is always a higher priority to have a student succeed in the classroom then the athletic field.  We value athletics however it is obvious that academics are much more important on a larger scale for sure.  We are committed to seeing that we help all those who struggle, especially if we can see that they are putting in all the effort they are able.

I want to say thank you to the City Light Quartet for the donation to TBS for singing at the Lutheran Home 75th Year anniversary.  Randy Martin, Jan Martin,  Dave Davenport, Tim Krause, Dan Leeds all do a wonderful job and donate much of their time and singing abilities to make this a full time fundraiser for TBS.  We appreciate very much the investment of time and energy given to make TBS reach its Fundraising Goals!  The folks at the Lutheran Home were blessed for sure as City Lights enjoyed a Sunday Afternoon Concert with them!

Thank you to Tiffany Spoor and the amount of effort given to the office duties and the Patriot Post.  It looks great and it has all the information that I will repeat here for you.  Also, if you have not gotten back to Tiffany concerning addresses for Grandparents day, please do so.  We will be sending invitations out very soon.  We hope to get all grandparents to attend our special event.

As far as athletics goes, remember that the girls have a home volleyball game on Tuesday!  Come cheer them on in the TBS gym.  Concessions will be available for your enjoyment.  Also the Boys TBS/FCS Soccer team have a game on Thursday VS Wyldewood in Oshkosh – not to far of a drive!   Make sure to support both of our teams this week as they play for wins!

Hope you all have a great week as I anticipate one as well.  God’s blessing be on all of you as you seek to do what He wants in you lives!
