TBS Nation,

Good morning and welcome to week 2 of Quarter 2.  I want to thank all of you for moving your schedules around on behalf of the TBS staff and Dick’s Funeral.  It was a wonderful celebration of his life and many who attended were blessed even in the midst of grief.  Jean was well supported and saw the love of our school and church.  Thank you to those who attended.

This week is somewhat normal in that we don’t have to many crazy things happening.  Basketball practice will continue to take place this week for the middle school at TBS.  Volleyball is complete and we want to congratulate Mahri Westra and Mackenzie Rabe for the work and effort on the team.  Soccer has also come to a close and we are thankful for Micah and Levi’s participation as well.

I read a bumper sticker this morning that said.  “I don’t want to share my wealth, I just want to share my work ethic!”  I love it….
I trust that we as American’ and Christians don’t make things easy for the sake of making things easy.  Success comes to those who bleed and labor for the goal.  I fear that in our churches we also bring Christianity down to a level that is easy and accomplished by surface character.  Christianity is not easy.  Spiritual warfare is not easy.  Life is difficult and sweeping issues and sin under the “rug” so to speak, is not an act of worship to our Lord.  Thank you to the man who put that bumper sticker on his car!  I need the reminder that this whole thing takes deep work.
