TBS Nation,

It is with a sad heart this morning to let you know that God called Dick Winkler home last evening.  Dick has been struggling for life the past few days and the Lord was gracious and merciful to him and took him quickly.  He was in the comfort of his home with his bride of 57 years right beside him.  Dick has two sons and a daughter and we are very sad for them today, but we are thankful that we know where Dick is now living!  Dick has been a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a school committee member for many years.  Dick and Jean have helped in Fundraising for our school and have been generous to us in many ways.  I was reminded that Dick was washing the inside windows of school just about 10 weeks ago.  He really believes in our school and believes in Christian Education. The funeral will be this Friday but we do not know all the details.  TBS will not have school this Friday as many of the staff will have responsibilities that day.  TBS will release funeral details as they are solidified by the family over the next few days.  Pray for Jean especially.  She is glad Dick is not suffering, but very sad that Dick can no longer be by her side.

Not necessarily the most fun email and morning daily memo to pen….  This is the first week of the second quarter.  Also the Middle school basketball team will begin practice at the Trinity Gym today.  The coach has asked that each player bring a basketball if possible.  The practice will start around 3:15pm and end at 5:15pm.

Parent Teacher Conferences will also be scheduled for this upcoming week.  Due to the funeral and the arrangements we will postpone them to next week.  Each family will receive a time-slot to come and talk with teachers about the progress of their student(s) during this first quarter.
