TBS Nation,

Don’t forget anything Levi.  “I got it mom!”

Once again my family will provide me with a great example for today.  Levi was so excited to go to snow camp and spent much of Wednesday evening packing for the two day adventure.  In the furry of flinging unnecessaries into the duffel bag he seemed to miss the most obvious adornment.  Amber found his winter coat this morning hanging the back hall exactly where it should be if he were home…. but he’s not at home – ugh!  If you were going to go sledding and have hours of snow activities, wouldn’t you bring this?  I stopped to ask myself why he seemed to forget the most important piece.  I think as believers we do the same thing.  We are so worried or busy or hurt or excited that we forget that we have a heavenly Father who is the most important piece of our day – but somehow we miss bringing him along.  Somehow we miss our daily feeding in his word.  Somehow we miss the most obvious.  Will Levi survive?  I’m sure in a weird Jr. Higher way he will however it could have been better!  Slow down today and don’t miss the thing that counts.
Only one life will soon be past
Only what’s done for Christ will last
